The Ordering Guide will provide information regarding NIT’s SEWP VI contract, ordering procedures, quote requests, points of contact, customer support, and related information.
Fair Opportunity
NASA SEWP VI is a Multi-Award GWAC
NIT’s NASA SEWP VI contract is part of a multiple-award Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC).
FAR 16.505(b)(1) provides that each contractor shall be given a fair opportunity to be considered for each order exceeding $15,000 and issued under multiple-award contracts.
The method for obtaining fair opportunity is at the discretion of the Contracting Officer (CO), and the CO is responsible for documenting the rationale for placement and price of each order.
The SEWP online Quote Request Tool (QRT) is the recommended method to assist with this activity and to augment the required decision documentation. The SEWP QRT will automatically include Contract Holders within a selected Group or based on a suggested source.
