NIT Services certified by SBA as a HUBZone business

Landover, MD, February 2, 2021

NIT is pleased to announce that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has certified it as a HUBZone small business. As a certified HUBZone small business concern, NIT may receive program benefits, including eligibility for HUBZone set-aside awards, HUBZone sole source awards, the HUBZone Price Evaluation Preference in full and open competition, and HUBZone reserves.

The HUBZone program fuels small business growth in historically underutilized business zones with a goal of awarding at least three percent of federal contract dollars to HUBZone-certified companies each year. The government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses in historically underutilized business zones. HUBZone-certified businesses also get a 10 percent price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions.

NIT is committed to continue providing employment opportunities to underrepresented communities through strategic partnerships with large companies seeking a strong HUBZone partner. We also recruit individuals from these economically and underutilized areas and provide internships to help them prepare for a career in the industry.

NIT has served local, state and federal agencies such as US-DOJ, US-CCR, US-SEC, Northrop Grumman IT (Peraton), Richland County Schools, National Association of State Workforce Agencies, Maryland Dept. of Health and Human Services, and several others.
